If I was installing a K&K in a normal guitar it would take about 1 hour of labor - positioning and gluing the piezo dots, reaming and installing the output jack. The US made K&K is right around a hundred bucks, there is a Chinese version for a lot less. The usual install requires an external pre amp or DI box to match impedance and to shape the sound - depending on your signal chain there are options here. It has the most reasonably accurate acoustic sound, bettered only by the microphone. The K&K consists of three little pieze dots that glue to the bridge plate (or double stick tape, I always us gel CA). If cost and time are not an issue that is my choice. The combination mic plus UST is probably the best but is expensive, a bit of a hassle to install and can feed back. I don't particularly care for the sound of either UST's or magnetic pickups, however they can be blended and EQ's to sound reasonable. I install a variety of pickups for people, including under saddle piezo (Fishman, LR Baggs), sound hole magnetic (also Baggs), some of the combination UST + mic, but my hands down fav is the K&K Pure Mini.
